Spring Walk/Bike to School Day
Join the Safe Routes to School Committee for the Spring Walk/Bike to School Day on Wednesday, May 9th! Law enforcement and community volunteers will be accompanying the Walking School Buses to both ISD 166 and Great Expectations School on the three routes. The Grand Marais Safe Routes to School group invites all kids and parents to the annual Bike Safety Rodeo on Thursday, May 24th from 3 to 5 pm at the Cook County Community Center in Grand Marais. Join in the fun, with bike checks and helmet fittings, helmet decorating, ride the course, and food. Bring your bike, helmet, and signed permission slip (limited loaner helmets will be available). Winter Walk Day is February 6th! The annual Winter Walk Day is coming up on Wednesday February 6th! Winter Walk Day is a one-day event celebrated throughout North America, which aims to encourage kids to be active, walk to school, and have fun! Walk and Roll Wednesday
Help your kid(s) join the Safe Routes To School weekly walking group, Walk and Roll Wednesdays, for a walk to school! The group follows the SRST Walking School Bus map, alternating starting locations.
